Fabrication Quality Control Assurance
Providing inspections on drum debarkers, in-feed chutes, drum discharge, bark collection systems, and other ancillary equipment. A drum inspection includes visual inspection for wear and cracking as well as using UT to determine drum shell and lifter thicknesses. Most inspections would include checking for issues with in-feed chutes, power feeds, support structure, roller mechanisms, and the drive system. After all the data is collected and examined, a comprehensive report along with a recommended scope of work is returned to the customer.
Whether helping with the design of a piece or using provided prints, we collaborate with the customer to verify quality and dimensions that meet the customer’s requirements and needs.
Helping a customer determine where or if changes need to be made in the debarking line to help with increasing through-put. While examining the operation of the drum line, we try to help determine where excessive white wood loss, wood breakage, or misalignment could be taking place. Often a drum line evaluation will start with a drum inspection in order to determine high wear areas or to spot inconsistencies in the wear areas.
